This December, Hong Kong's premier world-class horse racing spectacle will be making a triumphant return! The LONGINES International Jockeys' Championship (IJC) and LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (HKIR) will take centre stage on Wednesday 10 December at Happy Valley Racecourse and Sunday 14 December at Sha Tin Racecourse respectively. These international horse racing celebrations not only feature thrilling contests between the world's elite jockeys and champion horses, but also blend star-powered entertainment, global culinary delights and spectacular pyrotechnic displays. Happy Valley Racecourse will be transformed into a global arena on 10 December, with 12 of the world's top jockeys – including James McDonald, who is currently topping the 2025 LONGINES World's Best Jockey rankings – battling across four races in the LONGINES IJC, delivering heart-pounding displays of outstanding horsemanship.
The evening's activities begin at 4:45 pm. After race 3, a brilliant pyrotechnic display that will add dazzling splendour to the racing action! The Beer Garden's food trucks and stalls will offer global speciality food and beverages, so that racegoers can savour international flavours while enjoying the action. Other highlights of the evening include a live performance by international pop group Now United – a group of young singers and dancers from around the world including Ariel Tsang, the representative for Hong Kong, China, who was selected through a collaboration between top entertainment brand XIX Entertainment and The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and Krystian Wang from Beijing, China.
